Georita Harriott
trained at Middlesex Polytechnic and has a BA honours in
scientific illustration and a PGCE in Art from Cambridge
University.
At the moment she is a freelance botanical illustrator for
Kew Gardens in London. She has recently won three
Royal Horticultural Society gold medals, for lavender
drawings for the Kew Gardens Lavandula Monograph in 2004,
for Passiflora drawings in 2005 (offered as prints on this
website), and for Lathyrus watercolour drawings in 2008.
The Passion flowers were drawn from Cambridge University
Botanic gardens, glass house collection.
She has also worked for London Zoo, Cambridge University
Botanic Gardens, Cambridge University Museum of Zoology
and various international publications. Her work is in Kew
Gardens archives and the Hunt Institute's collection.
